Installation and Service Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Installation, service and maintenance of Access Control Systems, CCTV / Video Monitoring, Intrusion Alarm Systems, Intercoms, Electrified Hardware and Automatic Door Operators.
- Complete system installations, service calls and system maintenance by reviewing work orders and documentation, gathering equipment/supplies, and coordinating with the Projects and Service Teams.
- Installation of system cabling and devices, programming and calibration of equipment.
- Commission completed systems by testing/verifying devices, connections, programming and signals.
- Maintain records and complete installation, service and maintenance work orders.

Read, decipher and understand building/system plans or drawings.
- Interact and converse with customers, vendors, as well as other service providers.

Provide feedback to Senior Management and/or Supervisors on potential issues and trends in the field.
- Perform installations, service and maintenance on-site at customer facilities.

Maintain a safe and secure work environment. Ensure that all work is performed safely and meets the Employer's and Customer's Health and Safety Program, Ontario Health and Safety Act and all other applicable codes, guidelines and laws.
- Provide essential technician and customer training as required.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

**Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications**
- Possess a “Customers First” attitude
- Minimum 2 years security industry installation/service experience required
- Electrical and electronic knowledge an asset
- Factory trained in integrated security products an asset
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent level of knowledge
- Ability to communicate both written and in person effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- Understanding of health and safety standards
- Must be able to meet or surpass security clearance (CPIC or government security clearances)
- Understanding of timelines and ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of Avigilon, Lenel, Kantech, CCURE, Indigo Vision an asset

**Salary**: $21.00-$37.00 per hour
