POSITION TITLE**:Lead Technician**
**GENERAL INFORMATION**:
Position Classification: Field Staff
Location: Edmonton, AB
Department: Operations
Supervisor: Project Manager
**RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL**:
The Lead Technician is responsible for leading a team of technicians to carry out duties as outlined by industry standards, scopes, work orders provided by Project Managers and helps all parties with achieving overall project success. This may include completing paperwork, moisture mapping, moisture readings, before and after pictures, asbestos samples, mitigation of property, site cleanup, final cleans, loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Be available for 24/7 on call rotation
- Utilize Encircle and Xcelerate to document pictures (before and end of day), moisture mapping, moisture readings, equipment logging and hazard assessments
- Lead a team of technicians to carry out duties as outlined by work orders
- Responsible for own consumable inventory and proper treatment/ tracking of hand tools
- Ensure all supplies and materials are loaded in the vehicle for each day and job task before leaving the shop
- Implement and promote safety culture - follow company procedures and health and safety regulations
- Responsible for communicating any schedule changes
- Complete FLHA, toolbox meetings, and timesheets to hand in daily
- Complete work orders and materials used forms
- Ensure Technicians have all information needed to complete their timesheets
- Daily job status updates to Project Coordinator and Project Manager
- Communicate with client of any questions they may have or seek assistance from Project Manager to answer the question
- Promote positive work culture and work with the team and supporting other members with their roles when needed
- Other duties as required
**REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS**:
This position reports to the Project Manager
**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
Education: WRT required, other IICRC certifications an asset (FSRT and Asbestos Abatement certification)
Experience: 3+ years in construction industry, restoration strongly preferred
Work Conditions: Driving, heavy lifting, demolition, clean up, water, flood, fire, inclement weather, asbestos, mould, heights, confined spaces
Skills and Ability:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems
- Approachable, welcoming, and professional
- Superior verbal and written communication with attention to detail and deadline oriented
- Familiarity with hand and power tools as provided by DRS
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $19.73-$46.22 per hour
