**Responsibilities**:
Occupational Health and Safety
- Develop, implement, and maintain H&S policies, standards and programs
- In collaboration with leadership, develop, lead and deliver standardized company-wide H&S training & awareness programs including eLearning modules, SOPs, toolbox talks and departmental safety briefings.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to develop, test and ensure compliance with emergency response plans.
- Ensure Contractor compliance with company H&S policies and requirements.
- Manage the first-aid program, ensuring adequate staffing, policies and training.
- Lead new employee orientation and onboarding to H&S programs.
- Ensure OH&S monitoring programs are effectively managed, including maintaining records, tracking data, reporting on trends and making remediation recommendations.
- Develop and oversee the maintenance of required H&S training records.
- Lead and oversee accident/incident investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
- Coordinate inspections and audits by regulatory agencies and external parties.
- Ensure all Safety Data Sheets are created, audited and maintained to meet environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor EHS Specialist

Environmental Regulation and Compliance
- Create and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with international regulatory requirements and standards (ISO14001)
- Lead the implementation of an ISO14001 certified Environmental Management System.
- Manage the out-sourced product compliance service to prepare and report Declarations of Compliance to our Medical Device customers.
- Conduct and facilitate risk assessment, compliance audits & Environmental aspects assessments.
- Track all EHS metrics and prepare regular reporting and dashboards
- Manage Environmental training, regulatory and compliance resources.
- Other duties as may be required from time to time.

Education
- Degree in Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety, or related field is required.
- Professional designations as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) is preferred
- Project Management certification is a plus

Experience
- A minimum of 7 years’ EHS experience in a manufacturing organization
- Demonstrated experience in hazardous substance control regulations; experience in international regulations and controls such as RoHS is a big plus.
- Strong technical understanding of occupational health and safety and environmental regulations and practices.
- Experience developing and authoring risk assessments, policies, and training programs.
- Excellent project management skills
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring team members.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

**Salary Range**:

- $110,000 - $140,000
