The **_New Brunswick Multicultural Council Inc. (NBMC) _**is seeking a dynamic full-time **Bilingual Provincial Employment Navigator **to join our team.

NBMC is the bilingual nonprofit, umbrella organization for established and emerging multicultural/ethno-cultural associations and immigrant-serving agencies in the province. Since 1983, NBMC has played a key advisory role to federal, provincial and municipal levels of government on issues relating to multiculturalism, immigration, newcomer settlement, retention and labour market integration. NBMC works to enrich and grow our communities and enhance life in our province by enabling newcomers and members of the multicultural community to fully participate in society. NBMC is also valued by the settlement and multicultural community as a central coordinating and capacity-building body that promotes efficiency, avoids duplication of services, and allows for an exchange of best practices and other resources through its network of organizations, contacts, partners, etc.

**SUMMARY OF ROLE**:
As a Navigator your primary responsibility will be to provide support in mapping out pathways to employment for newcomers and immigrants facing barriers such as underemployment, credential recognition, language needs, etc. across New Brunswick. Enhancing employers’ capacity and supports to promote inclusive work environments, improve capacity to attract, recruit and retain immigrant talent is another goal of the program. This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the above project activities and will provide a supportive role to the Bridging the Gap to Newcomers Project by engaging employers, doing retention checks and follow ups with past clients, and guiding clients in their job search. A secondary responsibility will be aiding in expanding the projects services to newcomers living in rural areas.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a vibrant growing organization making a meaningful change for newcomers in New Brunswick. The Provincial Employment Navigator will be expected to work closely with the NBMC Project Lead, the HeadStart to Employment team, Skills Launch Adult program, and other Immigrant Settlement Agencies (ISAs) staff and partners as required and needed.

The nature and scope of this position is such that a close relationship must be maintained with the Senior Director of Employment Initiatives at the New Brunswick Multicultural Council, as well as with other project team members.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES**
- Work with newcomers to identify barriers and help navigate pathways to employment;
- Coordination with Working NB, employer organizations/sector councils and employers;
- Participate in tracking and recording progress and results of clients registered for the service;
- Local coordination of training and workshops;
- Assist with creating a standardized set of tools and services;
- Promotion of the project, including partnership development;
- Work with project budget and ensure it is adhered to;
- Preparing monthly reports and quarterly roll-up reports for NBMC;
- Prepare the end of project report and do project close-out activities;
- Other duties as required.
