Kontur Geotechnical Consultants Inc. (Kontur) is a full-service **Geotechnical Consulting Engineering** and **Material’s Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, and Soil)** Firm, that provides engineering consultation, construction field reviews, and construction materials testing, for a wide array of projects and clients throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

Kontur is growing and is seeking a _**Laboratory Technician**_to become part of Kontur’s team. This position will be based at the main, Port Coquitlam, location. This is an hourly permanent position, with the expectation of full-time hours.

**Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:

- Wide variety of routine laboratory testing of soils, asphalt, and aggregate for physical properties.
- Prepare and report laboratory results, including manual or computerized calculations and worksheets.
- Operating, maintaining, and calibrating of laboratory equipment, as required.
- This position is predominantly a laboratory-based position; however, some field work maybe requested from time-to-time.
- Participation in general laboratory cleaning.

**Job Requirements**:

- Requires a flexible schedule.
- Previous work experience is an asset. Training will be provided if necessary.
- Must have an ability to lift and control weights up to 22 kgs/50 lbs.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be available for shift work (day/night shifts).
- Must have at least a Grade 12 High-school Diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary certificates or training an asset.
- CCIL Certification is an asset.

Hourly wages will be commensurate to experience. This position is also eligible to participate in Kontur’s Group Benefits, performance incentives, and Continued Professional Development plans/policies.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
