**Full Time Position: Materials Testing Technician - Port Coquitlam**

Kontur Geotechnical Consultants Inc. (Kontur) is a full-service **Geotechnical Consulting Engineering** and
**Material’s Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, and Soil)** Firm, that provides engineering consultation, construction field reviews, and construction materials testing, for a wide array of projects and clients throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Kontur is growing and is seeking a _**Materials Testing Technician**_ to become part of Kontur’s team. This position will be based at the main, Port Coquitlam, location. This is an hourly permanent position, with the expectation of full-time hours.

**Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:

- Field Testing (compaction testing, asphalt coring, concrete testing etc.)
- Routine Laboratory Testing (Proctors, Sieves, Moistures, Atterberg’s, etc.)
- Interacting with clients on-site to provide excellent service, and quick response to any of their testing needs

**Job Requirements**:

- Must have a reliable vehicle in good working condition, properly insured for business use.
- Must have a valid BC driver’s License.
- Must have an ability to lift and control weights up to 22 kgs/50 lbs.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be available for shift work (day/night).
- Must be available to travel and work away from the main office/laboratory of extended periods.
- Must be available to work outdoors and in all weather conditions, when safe to do so.
- Must have at least a Grade 12 High-school Diploma.
- No experience required
- Post-secondary certificates or training an asset.
- CCIL Certification is an asset.
- Previous TDG Training and experience using a Nuclear Gauge an asset.
- Lab experience is an asset.

Hourly wages will be commensurate to experience. This position is also eligible to participate in Kontur’s
Group Benefits, performance incentives, and Continued Professional Development plans/policies. Phone and Vehicle allowances will be provided.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
