**Field & Lab Testing Technician - Civil Construction**

**Compensation**:
$21.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience/certifications

**Job Description & Requirements**:

- Previous experience (2+ years) in a similar role preferred. However, training will be provided for the right individual._

**Duties**:

- Travel to various construction sites throughout the lower mainland and carry out testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with ASTM/CSA test methods.
- Work in the laboratory ( carry out CSA/ASTM test methods on concrete, soil and asphalt. )
- Keep organized and detailed records of test results
- Maintain a positive rapport and working relationship with new and existing clients
- Demonstrate responsibility for personal safety; attend site specific safety orientation as required

**Required**:

- Class 5 (or equivalent) BC driver’s license. NOTE: MANDATORY
- Strong communication skills; ability to speak/read/write fluently in **English.**

Additional languages a plus
- Some heavy lifting required; must be physically fit and able to carry moderately

heavy (approx. 50 lbs) equipment over rough terrain, into/out of trenches, etc.
- Basic understanding of mathematics, formula’s and reading comprehension
- Understanding and Consent to working with Portable Nuclear Gauges (Radiation)
