Job Description: Head of Department for Toronto Engineering College (Health, Wellness, and Science Division)

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Department to lead the Health, Wellness, and Science Division at our esteemed Engineering College in Toronto. As the Head of Department, you will oversee programs such as Personal Support Worker, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda Natural Science. **Responsibilities**:
Leadership and Strategic Planning:Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Health, Wellness, and Science Division aligned with the college's mission and objectives.
Provide effective leadership and mentorship to faculty members and support staff within the division.
Set departmental goals, establish performance metrics, and monitor progress towards achieving them.

Ensure that the curriculum aligns with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in health and wellness.
Foster innovation in curriculum design by incorporating new research, evidence-based practices, and technological advancements.

Academic Excellence and Student Support: Promote academic excellence by encouraging effective teaching practices, research, and professional development among faculty members.
Support and mentor students, ensuring they receive a high-quality education and practical training in health and wellness disciplines.
Foster a culture of student engagement, well-being, and career development within the division.

Industry Engagement and Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, healthcare organizations, and professional associations to enhance internship, co-op, and employment opportunities for students.
Collaborate with external stakeholders to develop practicum placements, research collaborations, and community outreach initiatives.
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes in health and wellness fields to ensure program relevance and student readiness.

Budgeting and Resource Management: Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure responsible financial practices within the Health, Wellness, and Science Division.
Identify and secure funding opportunities, grants, and donations to support divisional initiatives, research projects, and facility enhancements.

Job Summary:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.50-$39.27 per hour
