In this role you will be responsible for assisting and executing external communications activities that enhance and protect brand reputation while increasing consumer consideration across Canada. Your work will involve media relations, supporting PR agency activities, managing digital and social media content development, coaching Allstate Canada spokespeople, and work on influencer engagement. This role involves strategic leadership, proactive planning, uncovering actionable insights, and owning digital channel accountability. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure our key priorities and objectives are achieved. **Accountabilities**: - Identify opportunities to enhance Allstate Canada’s corporate brand reputation nationally by improving community visibility in local markets. - Own the development of content for various channels across the organization: blog, social media, video, website, and more. - Collaborate with our external PR agency on media opportunities, including identifying and coaching spokespeople, facilitating, and managing media interviews, and post event feedback. - Create, plan, and launch digital and PR tactics that promote Allstate Canada’s social impact and community involvement initiatives. - Play a key role in tracking, analyzing and reporting metrics for proactive PR programs and social media storytelling campaigns. - Identify opportunities to inform and engage employees with external campaigns. - Partner with Social Impact, Social Media, and Marketing teams on drafting content for Corporate social profiles: Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. **Qualifications**: - Post-Secondary Education in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. - A minimum of 2 years of experience working for a PR agency or a corporate communications team where you have supported with media relations and digital storytelling. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. - Demonstrated ability to write concise and engaging story driven content in a variety of formats, including blog articles, press releases, social media content, speeches, web copy, videos, and presentations. - Awareness of current social media trends and thorough understanding of insurance, financial, or other regulated sectors to advocate best practices. - Knowledge of analytics tools that support insight-based recommendations to improve performance. - Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects from conception to completion. - Ability to inspire confidence among internal teams through valued communications guidance and coaching. - Experience with graphic design, web design, video creation, CMS is an asset. **Skills** Customer Centricity, Digital Literacy, Inclusive Leadership, Learning Agility, Result
