We are currently looking for **GT Service Technician **to join our team based out of our Operations Support Centre in **Cambridge, ON.**

**Job Summary**

The General Tools Service Technician is responsible for the completion of the inspection, testing and diagnosing of electrical, two strokes, four stroke and heating equipment for repair and/or regular maintenance. Completes all work orders and related paperwork with respect to the repair and maintenance of equipment in order to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system. This role also supports store staff including loading/unloading equipment and merchandising.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of General Tool servicing or similar experience.
- Small engine trade certification and/or related work experience is an asset.
- Able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Valid G-Class Driver’s license with clean abstract (within last 3 months).
- Working knowledge/understanding of Stephenson’s product line.
- Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to effectively handle inquiries in person and on the phone.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensures that all equipment is rental ready by cleaning, checking and properly refueled.
- Maintenance can include checking/gapping spark plugs, replacing air filters, checking recoils and ropes, greasing/lubricating bearings/joints, replacing/tensioning belts, etc.
- Possesses excellent product knowledge and can effectively transfer this knowledge to customers. This includes explaining features and benefits, safe operating techniques and promoting related accessories/products.
- Ensure that every customer is treated in the same fair and consistent manner and resolving issues as they arise.
- Supports in store merchandising initiatives. This includes pricing, inventory control, product placement, etc.
- Follow all paperwork and computer procedures related to servicing of equipment. Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system.
- Participate and ensures daily “COMPASS” is complete. Adheres and promotes all Company Safety Policies Involved in annual inventory initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
