LeBeau is a fast-growing French bakery in Toronto downtown. We are currently looking for a Pastry Cook who will help us to create our iconic croissants and other baking items for our customers.

This is a permanent, full-time position with the following schedule **Wed - Thru - Fri

**Main responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use. Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.
- Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.
- Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area; set-up and break-down workstation; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Perform other related job duties.
- **Requirements**:_
- Must have at minimum of 1-2-years of experience working as a pastry cook, baker or related field.
- Must have demonstrated experience in regard to baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets and pies.
- College diploma or certification in baking and pastry arts and/or Red Seal or equivalent certification is considered to be an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Able to lift up to 25KG of equipment and ingredients.
- Good to have relevant experience related to French pastry making.

At Le Beau, we specialize in croissants (one-of-a-kind in Toronto) and laminated dough, but we also offer a small selection of high-quality seasonal pastries and bakery items. Everything is rolled and baked daily in-house and is limited in stock.
