If you answered "YES" to the above, this role might be a great fit for you **About us**: DASCH is a non-profit organization established in 1974 dedicated to exploring and meeting the residential, day program, respite and foster care needs of youth and adults. We support people living in over 50 homes and 4 day programs throughout Winnipeg. People can participate in personalized social, educational, vocational and recreational services that provide learning opportunities and greater independence. **Position Summary**: Under direction of the Program Manager, the Location Supervisor is responsible for the provision of quality individualized support, the maintenance of a safe and comfortable home and regular access to facilities and services in the community for people receiving support services. The Location Supervisor is responsible for supervisory duties within the home and each Location Supervisor will be allocated one location. Location Supervisors are expected to work a minimum of three direct support shifts per week based up on the needs of each location. **Role & Responsibilities**: - Ensure quality client care is provided and the living environment meets DASCH standards. - Serve as a positive role model for staff and clients. - Perform personal care duties including lifts and transfers. - Maintain effective communication. (Program Manager, staff, families, other departments within DASCH, external stakeholders, etc.) - Upload to and maintain appropriate online systems. - Coordinate client activities on a week-to-week basis to ensure a balance of personal and social opportunities to promote recreation, community interaction and individual relationships. - Promote independence and encourage decision-making through recognition and respect of individual client’s interest and choice. - Provide on-call support as per protocol. - Complete audits, checks, drills and reports as required for the location overseen. - Supervise, motivate and monitor the performance of the Support Workers in the homes. - Complete and document required training for all new employees. - Provide leadership to create a respectful working environment conducive to effective working relationships. ***Skills & Qualifications**: - Minimum two years of supervisory experience, leadership skills and effectively managing a team. - Minimum two years of experience in Disability Support or a suitable combination of education and experience. - Smart device with internet access is required for communication. - Sound knowledge of intellectual disabilities. - Excellent knowledge of the use of computers and Microsoft programs required. - Full or Intermediate Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License is required. - Use of your own vehicle during your scheduled shifts as well as on-call hours in cases of emergency is required for this position. - Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. - Certificate in Disability & Community Support considered an asset. - Mo 3:00 pm-11:00 pm - Tu 3:00 pm-11:00 pm - We 3:00 pm-11:00 pm - Th 9:00 am-5:00 pm (Admin) - Fr 9:00 am-5:00 pm (Admin) - On Call with flexibility to cover emergency situations - Monday to Thursday 7:00 am - 11:00 pm - Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm - Must be able to flex work hours based on position needs **Salary**: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour **Benefits**: Casual dress Dental care Extended health care Paid time off $500 hiring bonus.
