Winnipeg, Canada Maple Leaf Construction Ltd. Full time

**As a locator your duties will include**:

- Identify and mark underground utilities using electronic locating equipment
- Work closely with the Project Managers/Supervisor/Foreman/Crew to determine job requirements and timelines
- Communicate site location and scope of work to utility owners as required using computer and phone methods
- Extensive computer use for communication and map making
- Hand digging required to assist in locates
- Daily travel to jobs required

**Your experience includes**:

- High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Construction or locating experience an asset

**Requirements**:

- Must have a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License and use of a reliable vehicle to use for work
- Willing to work long hours primarily outdoors - shift starts at 0600
- Able and willing to be on-call for emergency locates in the evenings and on weekends
- Effective at time management, including punctuality
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, as well as a strong team member
- Challenged by, and thrives in, an ever-changing and demanding workload and work pace

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
