**Reporting Relationship**:This role reports to the Fixed Operations Manager.
**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Fixed Operations Manager, the Shop Foreman leads the team of service Technicians ensuring the dealership’s service work is done according to customer expectations and Birchwood’s standards of quality. The main activities include coordinating work among technicians, and managing workplace safety while ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices. This role is a hands-on position and will include conducting inspections, completing repairs and routine services, and diagnosing complicated repairs. The responsibilities also include ensuring technicians' training is complete and up to date, monitoring all communication from the manufacturer and helping administer policies and procedures set by the manufacturer. The Shop Foreman communicates regularly with Service Consultants, supplying progress reports and documenting all issues arising while the vehicle is with the service department.
**Qualifications**:
- Red Seal Certification is required
- Exeprience working with the Chrysler brand is preferred
- 10 year working experience as an Automotive Technician
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a dealership service environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and develop team members
- A high degree of product and technical knowledge with strong diagnostics capabilities
- Proven commitment with Safety Initiatives, Lean and 5S initiatives
- Have the ability to deal with large volumes of work and stressful situations
- A Class 5 driver's license, a driver’s abstract and transportation to work are required
