Overview:
**Fountain Tire Sylvan Lake, **an established automotive repair shop, is looking for an experienced automotive industry professional to join our team as a
**service writer.** This is a busy shop that needs someone who can hit the ground running.

**Pay: $20-$25/hour based on experience**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Creating work orders, arranging bookings and communicating them to the technicians
- Provide service quotes and receive customer authorization for work to be performed on vehicles, finalize sales, and complete customer follow up.
- Provide proactive calls to customers to determine their satisfaction level with the service they have received
- Recommend tire service, specialty tire service, wheel and mechanical service to customers
- Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer, and process all necessary information in the computer system.
- The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe
- Keep promotional material updated in the showroom.
- Participate in all safety initiatives, as required or assigned, to guarantee safety at Fountain Tire.
- Complete assigned e-learning and safety courses and adhering to standards and policies as described in learning modules.
- Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
- Pride in the work you've done keeping your customers safe and on the road, site or field

**Working conditions**:

- A team environment where hard work, concise communication and clear heads are rewarded
- Consistent lifting of weights of approximately 25KG is required
- Consistent work with computers and communicating on the phone

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in the automotive repair industry or tire industry is an asset
- Effective listening skills with the ability to identify customer requirements and provide recommendations
- Working knowledge of passenger, light truck and, specialty tires and mechanical services
- A valid driver's license is a must. We also need to see that you are responsible on the road by providing a satisfactory driver's abstract
- Excellent customer service and a great attitude are a must
- A team player who takes pride in their work
