Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians
- Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Utilize computerized systems for record keeping and administrative tasks
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
- provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic plays, music, and physical activity.
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
- Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
- Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges of children.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with parents, co-workers and community service providers working with children.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
- Model Christian character and lifestyle always.

Qualifications:

- Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (Levels 1,2 and 3) or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a classroom
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in written and verbal communication
