We are currently seeking a Project Scheduler with strong experience in project scheduling, resource allocation, and content management, with a focus on developing, executing, and sustaining program management tools, including Jira and Big Picture, for effective labor loading and program management to join our dynamic team in Ottawa.

**What will you be doing?**
- Develop, execute, and sustain a comprehensive project schedule management system using Jira and Big Picture.
- Work with Project Managers to ensure all project milestones, work packages, and deliverables are accurately entered, tracked and communicated.
- Labor Loading and Resource Management: Develop, execute, and sustain a comprehensive resource management system using Jira and Big Picture to manage labor loading and resource allocation across projects.
- Monitor resource availability and work with Project Managers to optimize assignments to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Propose strategies for maintaining projects on time and within allocated budget.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination among project teams, departments, and external stakeholders.
- Gather/drive work package labor estimate entry from all stakeholders within Jira, allowing for accurate aggregation of resourcing estimates for a comprehensive global total across the organization.
- Content Management: Oversee the management and organization of project-related content within Jira and Big Picture.
- Ensure all project documentation, tasks, and updates are accurately recorded and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Generate and distribute detailed project status reports.
- Analyze project performance data, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the program management function.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.

**What do we need from you?**
- Strong previous experience in project coordination, project administration, project scheduling, program management, or another related role.
- Excellent proficiency with Jira and ideally Big Picture for project scheduling, labor loading, and content management. (transferable experience with Asana, Kantata, Smartsheet etc will also be considered)
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, or similar) is a plus. Experience with electromechanical engineering projects would also be an asset.
