We are seeking a skilled Project Scheduler/Planner who meticulous and proactive to join our team in Ottawa. If you are looking for a short term opportunity with a potentiial for extension, this role maybe fit for you. This is a remote role with occasional site visits to the site situated in eastern Ottawa.AdvantagesLocation: Remote with occasional site visits to the site situated in eastern OttawaOpportunity: 2-3 months , with potential for extension. No plans for a permanent position at this time.Schedule: Full-time hours per week (flexible schedule, core hours required).Clearance: Not required for this position.Interview Process: 1 Teams interview.ResponsibilitiesScope of WorkThe scheduler will be responsible for the following tasks:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS project.Allocate resources effectively to ensure project goals are met.Track the progress and adjust and update the schedule based on actual resources.Reach out to subtrades to adjust the schedule as needed.Set the schedule baseline and cost baseline.Monitor the schedule and budget for any slippage and develop a recovery plan if necessary.Extract progress reports and obtain Earned Value (EV), Cost Variance (CV), and Schedule Variance (SV) metrics.Coordinate with project stakeholders, including the GC, subtrades andEnsure that project milestones and deadlines are met, with a focus on client necessary delivery dates.Prepare and present schedule reports to the project team and stakeholders, with a focus on critical activities, resources histogram, and earned value.Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.Collaborate with other project team members, including project supervisor and client’s vendors to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.Track the key procurements to make its delivery on the planned dates.QualificationsTop 3 Skill Sets:MS ProjectEarned Value ReportsManaging Schedule resourcesDeliverables:Detailed project schedule, including task lists, resource allocations, timelines, budget allocation and critical path.Regular schedule updates and reports.Schedule risk assessments and mitigation plans, with a focus on resource availability, external dependencies and procurements delivery.Progress reports and status updates, with a focus on percentage complete, critical path analysisEarned Value (EV), Cost Variance (CV), and Schedule Variance (SV) reports.Recovery plans for any schedule or budget slippage.SummaryInterested candidates can send their resumes to Tanvi at tanvi.rajadhyaksha@randstad.caRandstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
