Barber Collins security is looking for a part time Security Guard to work every weekend at a clients facility in Waterloo, ON.

**Shifts**

*_Shifts have a mandatory 2-week rotation_

**Week 1 (16 hours)**: Friday and Saturday from 2:30pm to 10:30pm

**Week 2 (16 hours)**: Saturday and Sunday from 2:30pm to 10:30pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain registries and receive client claims as required.
- Perform switchboard duties as trained and required.
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: $18.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
