**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the office.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems, answering inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) like Oscar, Clinic Aid, and experience in LFP Billing
- Assist with billing and insurance verification processes.
- Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
- Utilize software systems such as Oscar, Clinic Aid and LFP Billing.
- Handle billing invoices, inquiries, assist with insurance verification processes billing for Private, WCB, ICBC and extended Health insurances
- Provide support in medical office tasks, including patient check-in and check-out procedures. Ex: Taking vital signs (i.e. Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Height and Weight, etc.) on each patient and recording in electronic medical records.
- Preparing examination rooms, setting up and maintaining medical supplies and equipment for all examinations and procedures. Cleaning and sterilizing the clinic, materials and instruments ( working knowledge of Autoclave).
- Checking inventory and ordering medical supplies and materials
- Assisting the Doctors with minor procedures (i.e. pap tests, removal of stitches, ear flush)
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology and office protocols to enhance patient care.
- Opening and Closing procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma required, with 3 years experience in a Medical Office environment.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems; such as Oscar, Clinic Aid, experience in LFP Billing.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced medical office setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$22.00 per hour
