**Instructor, Applied Computer Education (Term Full-Time)**
School of Business, Information Technology and Creative Arts; Applied Computer Education Department
**POSITION TYPE**: 4 Full-Time, Term Positions Available (anticipated November 18, 2024 up to May 2, 2025)
**SALARY**: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum*
**POSITION LOCATION**: Exchange District Campus (Winnipeg, MB)
**DUTIES**
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma in IT service management, information security, data science and machine learning, computer programming, software development, web development or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Professional experience with IT service delivery, IT service management and/or information security
- Experience managing operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network infrastructure (routers, firewalls, VPNs)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization / container technologies
- Knowledge of security frameworks and experience in risk management, vulnerability assessment, and compliance
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and performance monitoring tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with changes in technology and processes
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment with a collaborative approach
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate posititive outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
**ASSET QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience teaching in a post-secondary environment
- Experience with Agile project management, project management or IT service delivery
- Experience mentoring, leading a team, training or coaching
- Experience with developing training materials
- Experience with working on research projects
- Experience developing and instructing distance delivered courses including on-line
- Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education and Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
