We are seeking an Associate II, Human Pluripotent Stem Cell (hPSC) Biology, to join Aspect's multidisciplinary R&D team dedicated to driving our therapeutic cell platform portfolio to develop bioprinted tissue therapeutics. Reporting to the Scientist, Cell Biology you will be responsible for designing and performing projects related to hPSC-based cell therapies.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform aseptic hPSC culture tasks including maintenance, characterization, cryopreservation, and routine passaging.
- Perform and design flow cytometry analyses to characterize hPSCs and differentiated cells
- Execute scientific studies to support the development of hepatic bioprinted tissue therapeutics.
- Drive key program milestones and direction by analyzing data, interpreting results, and presenting information through experimental reports and presentations.
- Maintain clear and rigorous experimental records, including electronic laboratory notebooks. Draft experimental protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Proactively investigate and improve existing methods and techniques.
- Contribute technical expertise in hPSC biology and directed differentiation to shape therapeutic strategies and programs.

**Qualifications**
- **Education + Experience**: A BSc. with over 3 or MSc. with over 1 year of relevant experience in cell biology or a related discipline. Experience in an industry setting is considered an asset.
- **Cell Culture Knowledge**:Experience in long-term hPSC culture is required. Familiarity with directed hPSC differentiation, 3D organoid / spheroid cultures, hepatocyte developmental biology, and hepatocyte pathology are considered an asset.
- **Lab Skills**: Aseptic cell culture technique is required. Familiarity with qPCR, plate reader assays & ELISAs, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence microscopy are an asset.
- **Availability**: Must be available to work on weekends and holidays on a rotating team schedule.
