The Scientist I, Cell Culture for Cytiva Nanomedicine is responsible for contributing to the development of novel technologies such as GenVoy-ILM lipid nanoparticle reagents.

This position is part of the R&D product development team located in Vancouver, Canada and will be onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

**What you'll do**:

- Perform cell-based experiments and assays to determine the biological activity of LNPs in vitro including routine validation studies
- Collect and analyze experimental data, troubleshoot, present data at meetings, provide conclusions and outline future plans
- Ensure that necessary lab supplies are available, follow protocols to support the lab operation including training as necessary
- Support technical documentation related to projects and product development
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project completion including providing support to Product Management, Manufacturing, and Operations

**Who you are**:

- Post secondary education (ideally in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or similar) with 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Hands-on experience in primary cell culture workflows, especially primary human T cells, hematopoietic stem cells (HSC), and familiarity with a wide-range of cell and molecular biology techniques i.e. cell flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, western blot and microscopy, gel electrophoresis, PCR, DNA sequencing, HPLC and DLS
- Ability to independently design, conduct, analyze and troubleshoot experiments, summarize and present scientific data
- Interested and excited about genetic medicines and the future that LNPs hold for countless medicines
- Experience in working with nucleic acids (e.g. plasmid DNA, messenger RNA, siRNA, CRISPR components) and proteins

The salary range for this role is 80,000-100,000 CA. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
