**What this Job Entails**:
Night Auditors provide an end of day audit of daily financial transactions while maintaining a safe and secure presence overnight at the hotel. Night Auditors are often the first point of contact for our guests and will have a direct impact on the overall experience of our hotel guests. The Night Auditor will perform all Front Office duties, including the night audit process, during the overnight shift.
- Greet and welcome guests to the hotel
- Manage and administer all phases of the night audit and income audit process, ensure that all daily transactions are reconciled, revenues are balanced and accounts are settled as per hotel procedure
- Check in guests, enter information in the property management system, confirm of guest information and preferences, coding electronic keys, promoting hotel services and amenities
- Demonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, hotel services, etc. and communicate to guests accordingly.
- Resolve any guest concerns during the overnight shift and communicate accordingly
- Provide a seamless and exceptional check-in and check-out experience for all guests, specifically late arrivals and early departures;
- Duties include registering arriving guests, assigning rooms, processing group arrivals and departures, taking, canceling and changing room reservations, processing telephone calls and checking out departing guests
- Ensure services are correctly accounted for, processing credit and debit card payments etc.
- Accurately manage all cash handling procedures;
- Ensure guest security by proper handling of guest room keys and personal information;
- Act as a key respondent to all emergency situations during the overnight shift;
- Required to drive the Hotel shuttle to/from the airport, as needed;
- Provide information on hotel facilities and services, general information about points of interest in the area and services available in the community
- Secure guests' valuables, process wake-up calls, store and retrieve luggage, investigate and resolve complaints and claims.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and report hazards
- Focus on creating exceptional experiences for our guests
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.

- Follow through on daily tasks and key responsibilities, driving a culture of teamwork and fun
- 1-2 years experience working as a hotel Night Auditor or Guest Service Agent is strongly preferred
- Diploma or degree in hospitality or business management is an asset
- Experience with property management software an asset
- Passionate about delivering experiences that exceed guest expectations
- Computer use and cashiering skills required
- Analytical skills to prepare reports and to solve routine accounting problems.
- Strong knowledge of Property Management Systems is a definite asset
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
- Proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Moderate level of physical effort (can include activities such as periodic lifting up to 40 lbs.)
- Moderate level of mental effort.
- Standing and/or walking for prolonged periods
- **Class ‘G” Driver’s license required**:

- Must be available to work overnight shifts; with regularly scheduled weekends and holidays.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
