**Overview**
Squamish Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inclusive Education Assistant to join our team in supporting children with diverse learning needs in a Montessori classroom setting. This is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative, child-centered environment that values inclusion, independence, and respect for each learner’s unique development. This is a one year contract: February 2026 - March 2027

**Role Responsibilities**
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to children with exceptionalities
- Collaborate with Guides (teachers), families, and the learning support team to implement individual learning strategies
- Support classroom integration, fostering independence and engagement
- Assist in documentation and communication of student progress and needs
- Contribute positively to the overall classroom and school environment

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Assistant Certificate** or **Special Education Assistant Certificate** (required)
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, or developmental needs (preferred)
- Additional training in areas such as behavioral intervention, neurodiversity, or inclusive education (an asset)
- A warm, patient, and flexible approach that aligns with Montessori values
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to take initiative while also working under the guidance of classroom teachers and learning support staff

**Start Date**: February 2026 (overlap for training)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
