On-call Education Assistant

School District No. 48 is currently looking for on-call Education Assistants to join the team **Duties & Responsibilities**: Under the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical disabilities, chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional and behavioural problems as designated by the Director of Instruction, while supporting the achievement of stated programs goals and objectives. **Qualifications**: - Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year’s related experience. A special program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant Program. - Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License. - Knowledge of basic First Aid. - Basic knowledge of related learning tools (ie. computers, etc). - Cover letter and resume indicating related qualifications and work experience - Contact details of three Supervisory references [to be uploaded as a document under Supporting Document> Reference Letter(s)] **Rate of Pay: $33.69/hour (Education Assistant)** **$31.49/hour (Supervision)** Please note that prospective employees new to School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky) must agree to undergo a criminal records check, as failure to do so will be grounds for refusing employment.
