Community Disability Support Worker

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team. This position is primarily for awake overnight shifts, with occasional day shifts as needed. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them build independence and improve their quality of life. You’ll assist with daily routines, promote well-being, and foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages personal growth.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social activities.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
- Monitor and document client progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and family members, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, promoting their self-esteem and independence.
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in disability support or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others improve their lives.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to disability support services is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to accommodate client schedules.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
