Celebrating 50 years, Accredited Supports to the Community (ASC) is a not-for-profit charitable society that provides services across south central Alberta for children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities.

This position is best suited for those who are self-motivated, organized, and committed to working with a service team in a culture of collaboration and wellness. You will enthusiastically assist by ensuring individuals have adequate and necessary supports while focusing on skill development, independence, community outings, and engage in activities supporting their interests as well as their well-being. This role also guides and mentors independent living skills, provides companionship, supports behavioral challenges, provides daily personal care, and implements programs tailored to individual(s) needs. Great relationship building skills and practicing vigilance with health and safety is a must.
- **Education and Requirements**:_
- Grade 12 diploma, GED, or proven experience
- A minimum of 1 year work experience with developmental disabilities will be considered an asset
- Human Services and/or medical training is an asset
- Standard First Aid/CPR Certification or willing to obtain in first 3 months of employment
- A reliable vehicle, class 5 driver’s license is a requirement to transport clients within the community and to appointments (mileage expense reimbursement policy and procedure is provided)
- Proof of vehicle insurance showing $2 million liability coverage
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check issued by the RCMP or City Police
- Strong oral and writing communication skills
- Ability to learn or is proficient with respectful computed documentation
- **Accredited Supports to the Community is a Level 2 accredited agency and provides**:_
- ASC provides internal/external mandatory trainings and professional development
- Entry level starts at $19.26/hr with immediate on the job training
- 2-year Diploma and/or 3 years’ experience start at $20.33/hr
- Additional differential $3/hr for weekend hours worked
