**JOB PURPOSE**
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the QMS Specialist is responsible for supporting comprehensive Quality Assurance activities across the Bolton Tooling Business.
This role ensures adherence to established processes and the execution of controls to guarantee “quality from the start.” The QMS Specialist oversees ISO compliance and maintains certification and accreditation by managing both internal and external audit programs related to all applicable business standards. Additionally, the Specialist drives data-driven quality improvements through closed-loop processes and analytics, while managing and maintaining the Bolton Tooling Quality documentation system.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/Areas of Accountability**:
- Ensure defined business processes are followed & controls executed: manage, coordinate and execute both internal & external audit programs within the business including providing any related training to other team members or audit team, interpret quality standards for current ISO accreditations, execute ad-hoc process audits as required.
- Implement, maintain and monitor effectiveness of QMS (quality procedures, tools, processes, work instructions, KPIs etc.), support the Quality Management Review for related ISO standards.
- Manage and distribute regular Quality related reports/metrics for various parts of the business, create charts, Pareto's, and data analysis as requested; contribute towards quality data collection framework as required.
- Participate in the Andon/Clinic process from all sources (Field, Shopfloor, audits, trend analysis, etc.), escalations & triage.
- In collaboration with teams along the value chain, lead activities to understand the cause of issues (product & process) & implement action preventing reoccurrence.
- Work with appropriate stakeholders to define the Mechanism of Failure & associated Containment Plan; then Root Cause and Permanent Corrective Actions.
- Manage electronic documentation system (maintenance/upgrade of related SharePoint site, processing changes, publishing new documents, managing related requests)
- Execute according to standard work & participate in the continuous improvement of methods & standards to increase Clinic performance.
- Collaborate with other sites' QMS Specialists to support improvements and alignment in processes where plausible.
**REQUIREMENTS**
EDUCATION
- Engineering/Quality-related degree or equivalent experience.
QUALIFICATION
- Min. 3yrs work experience in a quality or engineering role with audit responsibilities.
- Quality certification or direct experience with ISO 9001/17025.
- Previous experience in the use of continuous improvement processes & tools.
- Ability to understand technical information, analyze issues and propose corrective actions based on data.
- Ability to build partnerships across businesses & facilitate bringing stakeholders to consensus across a variety of situations and activities and influence outcomes.
- Excellent written and spoken command of English.
