**Job Summary**
The Finishing Supervisor oversees the department and staff while continually improving the operational efficiency through effective use of human resources, systems and equipment while adhering to established company policies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Knowledge and understanding of processes and equipment within department
- Promote and maintain strong teamwork and positive employee relations
- Actively involved in employee training for temporary and permanent employees
- Prepare Incidents reports, and submit it in a timely manner to HR for further actions
- Administers employee evaluations and performance reviews
- Monitor and ensure compliance with productivity, quality, and delivery standards set out in KPI’s and departmental objectives
- Report on employee time and attendance
- Ensures compliance with safety program and provides necessary tools consistent with established standards
- Leads and participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct audit of every setup, assure readiness for production, make adjustments if needed, hold production unless everything meets standards
- Participates in company inventories and cycle counts as needed
- Update Shop Orders to reflect current manufacturing parameters
- Meet production standards as specified in job order and/or ISO documents
- Works with engineering to resolve major technical and/or quality issues on the production floor
- Responsible for correct inventory transaction to maintain accurate inventory locations
- Use utmost discretion in dealing with company and customers' confidential data
- Operate equipment in a safe manner, including to immediately report any equipment malfunction
- May perform other tasks as deemed appropriate
- Quality Management duties:_
- Ensure that all processes in the area of concern are documented according to Gamma’s QMS
- Responsible for improving and approving QMS documents
- Responsible to train staff on Gamma’s QMS’ procedures
- Responsible to perform internal audits to the processes and documents of the area of concern
**Education and Skill Requirement**
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the foundry business or equivalent
- Postsecondary education preferred or equivalent experience
- Detail oriented, highly organized and excels at multitasking and can implement and maintain processes
- Self-motivated, team player, strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication and communicates effectively across all levels of the organization
- Capable of using basic inspection tools such as verniers, micrometers etc.
- Knowledge of foundry defects
- Ability to read blueprints an asset
- Knowledge of LEAN principles
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation (OHSA), guidelines and standards pertaining to the Foundry Industry

The use of appropriate safety equipment as described below is a condition of employment and not one of choice. Safety equipment that must be worn while performing job responsibilities are as follows:
- Face shield
- Helmet
- Safety glasses
- Safety boots
- Ear plugs
- Respirator as required
