Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:
- Assist the store manager in daily operations and management of the store
- Interview, hire, and train new employees
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in cash register transactions
- Manage payroll and scheduling for store staff
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and maintain inventory levels
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or concerns
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions and manage inventory
- Assist in store management duties such as opening and closing procedures, visual merchandising, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment
- Analyze market trends and sales data to develop strategies for increasing sales and improving store performance
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic math skills
- Knowledge of payroll processes and scheduling software
- Ability to negotiate with vendors to ensure favorable terms for the store
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues effectively
- Experience in sales management or store management is a plus
**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
