**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in daily store operations, including supervising staff and managing shift schedules
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to ensure optimal product presentation
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and provide exceptional customer service
- Support sales management efforts through effective merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
- Manage POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering duties accurately
- Participate in employee orientation, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations
- Maintain organizational standards by overseeing bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory control
- Support marketing initiatives to promote store products and services
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations while fostering a positive team environment
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in negotiation, sales management, budgeting, and retail math
- Experience with inventory management systems, POS technology, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and purchasing
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred to serve diverse customer demographics effectively
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities through effective time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of marketing strategies, merchandising techniques, and store operations
- Previous experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence and team collaboration
