ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Events Manager is responsible for setting Digital Extremes’ (DE) event strategy, executing events, and facilitating long-term event planning. You will find creative ways to integrate events into DE’s marketing strategy and exemplify DE game brands through your event leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Product Marketing Team and Community/LiveOps Producer to conceive, plan and execute events for our players
- Build strong relationships with event organizers at key industry events as well as with gaming-related third-parties to maximize potential event opportunities and sponsorships
- Manage all elements of DE event experiences, including researching and securing locations, room set-up, audio/visual needs, food and beverage, etc.
- Collaborate with the team to forecast budgets and event expectations based on estimated event attendees and cultural trends
- Coordinates logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre

- Build out a calendar and brand portfolio for events
- Analyze and produce event post-mortem reports for internal key stakeholders with recommendations and key-learnings for improvements from year to year
- Work with multiple departments to create high quality, consistent branding materials for events
- Provide on-site support at events, including set-up and tear-down, troubleshooting, and if needed, event documentation through photo and video
- Participate in required staff calls, meetings, and travel as needed
- Source and manage the creation of event promotional items
- Proactively research future projects, events, vendors, quality samples, and build prototypes
- Maintain and build relationships with vendors and fulfillment companies
- Operate effectively as an event expert, mentor, guide, coach and provide feedback
- Gain the confidence, trust and respect from other teams through effective communication, constructive feedback and fair and objective treatment of the team
- Build a respectful, objective, encouraging atmosphere for ideas and creativity

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Retail Management or related field required
- 5+ years experience in small and large-scale event planning and strong understanding of required lead times
- Outstanding project management skills
- Must have the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proactive, humble, driven, self-directed and project execution master; never content with status quo; always eager to get the job done and done in an exemplary way; works through admitted mistakes to continually improve
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be very comfortable with data analysis and creation of meaningful KPIs reporting
- Ability to leverage metrics and stats to make well-informed decisions, and reinforce marketing instincts with meticulous analysis and research; ability to use data to build business cases with a focus on KPIs
- Positive “can-do” and team spirited attitude with the ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work some early morning, evenings, and/or weekend events as needed
- Demonstrable passion for video games and game culture
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite & Google Workspace
- Able to travel up to 25% of annual work year domestically and international to manage events
