**Company Description**:
Our goal is to be Energy Category experts and the only reasonable choice when deciding on an Energy Category partner. The Category Analyst is responsible for the development of National Account retailers, supporting sales growth strategies by providing insightful analytics and shopper insights that support a mutually beneficial growth plan.

You will be responsible for the collection of data from multiple sources (Nielsen, IRI, SPS, LDIA, Numerator, Retailer transaction/loyalty data, etc.) to create category scorecards, business reviews and analysis. You will support the creation of best practice selling stories and help identify opportunities for Red Bull in volume, share, promotion, price, shelf space and product distribution. You will be trained in JDA space planning to provide space management support and act as the important Category Management resource.

Key internal interactions are with the Senior Category Development Manager, the Director of Category Development, and the Account Management team. Externally, you will work with buyers and space planning teams.

**REPORTING**

Establish best practice reporting and take on responsibility for regular reporting and scorecard updates.

Generate reports with syndicated and internal data sources to support Red Bull’s category development strategy.

Work with Senior Category Development Manager to define data and reporting standards.

Provide support to the Large Format or Small Format channel Off Premise team by responding on a timely manner to data requests, answering business questions and supporting in basic technical support and analysis.

General curiosity and willingness to adopt/learn new approaches to analyzing data.

**CATEGORY MANAGEMENT**

Support the Senior Category Development Manager in delivering regular category reviews, plans and strategies for our key retail partners.

Turn insights into actions in conjunction with the Senior Category Development Manager by executing, analyzing, and evaluating category plans.

Support in creating and developing presentations and category reviews founded on analysis to achieve category and brand goals.

Create templates and executive summaries to analyze brand & market trends.

**CUSTOMER ANALYSIS**

Become an expert in Nielsen syndicated data and other retailer transaction/loyalty data.

Mine sales and consumer / shopper data to develop valuable insights and identify opportunities.

Track performance of current category projects utilizing multiple data sources (offtake sales data, shopper data and internal Cooler door opening data) in order to report success back to retailer.

Measure and communicate results from in-store merchandising programs and promotion results analysis.

Turn insights into actions by identifying key opportunities for Red Bull and support the education of the sales teams on how to capitalize on these opportunities.

**Qualifications**:
2+ years’ of work experience in Insights, sales intelligence or analytics, broad general knowledge of the CPG industry.

Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, slicers, and formulas to automate and contribute to reports.

Highly analytical, organized, and self-motivated individual with an ability to draw insights from multiple data sources.

Story telling skills using data/analysis.

Experience working with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) is an asset.

Planograms building experience with a software such as JDA Space Planning is an asset.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint.
