Since September 2009, Whitecap has experienced remarkable growth, increasing production from 850 boe/d to over 365,000 boe/d. We have unconventional and conventional assets exclusively focused in Western Canada and the asset base includes the Weyburn EOR Project. As a majority owner and operator of the Weyburn EOR Project, annually we safely sequester approximately 1.5 million tonnes of CO _2 _making it a unique project within our portfolio. We currently employ 1,200 people, including our valued contract staff.

**Position Overview**:
**Key Job Accountabilities**:

- Create and edit spatial data and mapping products using ArcGIS and FME.
- Assist in the migration of geospatial data from Oracle Spatial to Esri SDE using FME, SQL, and Python.
- Collaborate on creating and updating metadata, mapping standards, and work processes.
- Support mapping procedures and contribute to spatial analysis.
- Prepare and present reports and presentations as required.

**Primary Qualifications and Skills**:

- Currently enrollment in a technical GIS program at an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent.
- Practicum student for May 2026 (4-6 month work term).
- Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Pro Desktop.
- Experience with ArcGIS Portal and AGOL.
- Knowledge of FME Form and Flow and ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase.
- Ability to write Python and/or SQL is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team atmosphere.
