**About the Role**

FWD is currently seeking a Safety Administrator to join our team.. The Safety Administrator supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s health and safety programs. This role ensures compliance with local, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations, maintains accurate safety records, and assists in cultivating a safety-first culture across the organization.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and programs
- Coordinate and track employee safety training, certifications, and renewals
- Maintain health and safety records, including incident reports, safety data sheets (SDS), and inspection logs
- Support the investigation of incidents and near misses, including documentation and follow-up actions
- Schedule and support internal safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Monitor safety supplies and equipment; coordinate orders and distribution as needed
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure workplace compliance
- Collaborate with supervisors and staff to promote a proactive safety culture
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and assist in adapting internal procedures accordingly
- Generate reports and data analysis related to safety metrics and trends
- Serve as point of contact for employee safety concerns or suggestions
- Miscellaneous office administration tasks, including but not limited to scheduling meetings and events, managing and maintaining office files, preparing correspondence, etc.,
- Other duties as assigned

**About You**
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred
- NHSA or NHSO designation is considered an asset
- 1-3 years of experience in a construction safety administration role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proven track record of working under pressure

**Working Conditions**
- A mix of office and/or site-based environment
- Will require regular travel to local job sites
- May involve exposure to various worksite conditions when performing audits or inspections

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
