Design and Creative Specialist

Reporting to the Marketing Manager in the Recreational Marketing department, you will also partner with our Medical Marketing and Product Development disciplines for their design needs while refining and expanding the visual language of Emblem’s suite of brands. This Hybrid role supports Corporate, Rec, Medical and Operations

**Responsibilities**
- Execute design requests as required, prioritizing fast-turnaround and longer-term projects
- Manage and support ongoing design projects as required/assigned
- Maintain brand consistency across digital and print design assets
- Maintain design consistency across all design platforms (ex: digital, print, social, web) for individual campaigns and product launches
- Manage the updating of brand guidelines as Aleafia’s brands evolve
- Prepare files for pre-press and/or digital publication + review/approve printed proofs
- Manage photography files, including organization and labelling for ease of access
- Shoot, edit and create finished photography and video content for product images, websites and other
- Manage content and calendars for social media accounts
- Develop graphics for social media and digital marketing where needed
- Develop graphics for product labelling, in collaboration with product development and brand teams
- Review design assets for errors prior to production
- Be a supportive member to the marketing team and contribute to ongoing team support
- Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing to create and maintain a cohesive and consistent brand experience between Marketing and Product assets and content
- Continually iterate on concepts and brand guidelines to make the brands relevant and relatable to our consumer and purchaser audiences
- Contribute to website design concepts, elements, and proofing

Perform other design duties as assigned

**Skills and Abilities**
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
- Strong design fundamentals and visual design skills with an emphasis on typography, layout, and photo re-touching
- Ability to compose and present multiple design concepts and approaches in a timely manner.
- Production knowledge of digital standards and requirements, basic understanding of print production processes and best practices.
- Experience with packaging, video editing software, and motion graphics are an asset
- Strong organization and time management skills, detail oriented and ability to focus and work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral and ability to work with all levels of immediate and leadership teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines.

**Requirements**:

- Post secondary education completion
- 2+ years of work experience in Graphic Design is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the cannabis industry is an assert
- able to successfully pass a RCMP back ground check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
