**Summary**

We are seeking a skilled pipe layer helper to join our dynamic team at PEAK Contracting Services Inc. As a pipe layer helper, you will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of pipelines, ensuring that our projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Assisting with pipe assembly, connection, and installation**: This involves laying pipe to grade, aligning and joining pipe sections, and ensuring proper backfilling.
- **Supporting trenching and pipe-laying activities**: This includes general labor duties during trenching and pipe-laying.
- **Cleaning and soaping pipes**: This prepares the pipes for installation and ensures proper sealing.
- **Ensuring pipe alignment**: This is crucial for a smooth and efficient installation.
- **Assisting with the installation of valves, hydrants, air shoring, and box culverts**: This may include assisting with the installation of concrete pipe, PVC pipe, and manholes.
- **General maintenance of equipment and tools**: This ensures the safety and efficiency of the crew.

**Requirements**:

- **Physical strength and stamina**: This is essential for lifting and handling heavy pipes and tools.
- **Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team**: This is crucial for safety and efficiency.
- **Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools**: This can be helpful for assisting with various tasks.
- **Commitment to safety**: Following safety protocols is paramount in this role.
- **Wage is dependent on experience.**:

- **Reasonable overtime.**:

- **Must have own, reliable transportation.**:

- **No out of town work, Calgary and surrounding area (home every night).**:
