Calgary, Canada Perfection Millwork Ltd. Full time

**Position Summary**:
The Estimator is responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for architectural millwork projects. This role involves working closely with Project Managers, Cabinetmakers, Installers, General Contractors and Designers to ensure that all project costs are accounted for and presented clearly and competitively.

**Employment Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Experience with custom commercial architectural millwork projects is required
- Cabinetmaking experience is a **critical asset**:

- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope
- Perform detailed take-offs of millwork components including cabinetry, panels, trim, and other custom woodwork
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, hardware, and outsourced services
- Prepare clear and detailed cost estimates for labor and materials
- Coordinate with project managers and production teams to validate estimates and construction feasibility
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability
- Track changes in project scope and adjust estimates as needed
- Maintain historical cost data and use it to improve the accuracy of future estimates
- Strong verbal and written communication skills when dealing with clients, subcontractors, installers, and internal teams
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Proficient with computers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB T2E 3H8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Construction estimating: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)
