At ECC we design, inspect, implement and maintain Erosion Control measures to support environmental protection and to help our clients’ avoid regulatory non-compliance scenarios. ECC is currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Estimator to work with our Calgary and Edmonton operations.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Excel for accurate estimating and project management.
- Collaborate with project managers to build comprehensive project plans that align with client expectations.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders outlining estimated costs and project timelines.
- Monitor ongoing projects to adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances.
- Maintain an organized database of past estimates for reference in future projects.
- Leverage knowledge of Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan markets to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide ongoing support during project execution to ensure estimates align with actual costs and project scope.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in civil and/or landscaping estimating.
- Excellent understanding of project specifications, drawings, and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A background in project management is a plus, showcasing your ability to oversee projects from inception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
- Valid class 5 Drivers license with a clean abstract.
