Our client, a well-established construction and restoration company, is looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team in Calgary. This role is focused on estimating for insurance-related restoration projects, and strong experience with Xactimate is required.

We're looking for someone with a solid construction background, ideally with experience in the restoration industry, who is comfortable handling insurance claims and working closely with adjusters and project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate estimates using Xactimate

  • Conduct site visits to assess damage and gather scope details

  • Work with insurance adjusters and clients to align on scope and pricing

  • Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to develop comprehensive estimates

  • Keep current on pricing for labor, materials, and equipment

  • Assist with budget tracking and job costing as needed

  • Ensure estimates meet insurance standards and reflect actual project requirements

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of construction estimating experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Xactimate is a must

  • Background in restoration or insurance claim work preferred

  • Familiar with Alberta Building Codes and restoration processes

  • Comfortable managing multiple files and communicating with insurance reps

  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills

  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
