We’re growing, and we’re looking for a **Project Controls Lead** to join our team in **Nisku, AB**. This position plays a key role in overseeing planning, scheduling, and cost control across major projects and will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our execution teams.

**Your Opportunity at Michels Canada**

As **Project Controls Lead**, you will lead project controls activities for high-profile infrastructure projects from our Nisku office. You’ll manage cost and scheduling functions, develop performance reports and forecasts, and provide guidance on budgeting and planning strategies. This is a leadership role that includes mentoring team members and ensuring that Michels Canada’s project controls standards are consistently applied.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead planning, cost tracking, forecasting, and scheduling efforts for assigned projects
- Review and validate proposal financial summaries, earned revenue data, and project working capital calculations
- Develop and present project controls reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Plan and manage staffing needs for the project controls team
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and training to project controls staff
- Support claims management, change tracking, and schedule/cost impact analysis
- Ensure compliance with project control procedures and promote best practices company-wide
- Promote and uphold Michels Canada's safety, environmental, and core cultural values

**What You Bring**
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in cost engineering, scheduling, and project controls within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Experience leading a project controls team or function
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Viewpoint, Tilos) is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence, collaborate, and manage conflict effectively
