Job Summary Victor Energy is seeking a Project Document Controller to support Transmission Line and Substation EPC projects in Canada. The role is primarily administrative but also involves providing document control leadership and expertise to corporate stakeholders, project teams and clients. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who works well independently and in teams, details oriented, comfortable communicating issues clearly to project team members, and has a high level of technical proficiency with document control processes and systems. This is an office‑based position located in either Nisku, AB or Calgary, AB. Responsibilities Maintain the digital document management system and ensure all project documentation is correctly coded, filed, and current. Ensure quality of information in the document control system and prevent duplication. Identify and report deficiencies or problems with the document management system. Assist team members in locating documents, answering document control questions, and resolving service issues. Manage formal communications and transmittals with external stakeholders. Provide front‑line system user support and training. Support the development, standardization, and operational execution of document control processes and procedures. Provide training and support to stakeholders on document control processes and procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Attention to detail, ability to focus for long durations. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and team participation skills. Solutions oriented, independent problem solver. Ability to work with the goals and objectives of the team and organization. Ability to work remotely and independently. Sound work ethic, multitask, meet tight deadlines. High level of technical proficiency with document control processes and systems. Maintain professional, industry, and organizational knowledge to serve as subject matter expert. Education and Experience Minimum 5 years of document control supporting construction projects. Experience with maintaining a digital document management system. College or university diploma / degree preferably in Administration, Information Management or Records Management. Specific experience with engineering and construction document management is an asset. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Adobe PDF.
