**Job Summary**:
Golden Horseshoe Credit Union is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a member service representative. The position is responsible for assisting members with all their transactional banking needs and questions regarding their products and services. This position requires a high level of customer service skills, excellent verbal communication, and the ability to answer questions and provide solutions to members' financial concerns.

**Essential Duties**:

- Provide members with information on their accounts and general questions regarding products and services, both in person and over the telephone.
- Uncover and identify opprotunities with members and prospective members.
- Provide members with information on products and services that would provide value to them.
- Performs cash handling and data input duties with a high degree of accuracy to ensure excellence in member experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

**Required Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required.
- Previous experience in a financial services environment preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills required; ability to explain financial solutions to non-financial customers is required.
- Ability to listen to member cues, assess member needs and provide solutions.
- Ability to remain calm, focused and patient during high stress member interactions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
