**About your next** Challenge** as Program Manager and Senior Maintenance Manager (SMM)**:
This program involves supporting the operations of a specialized fleet of aircraft throughout its remaining life cycle. The program management team will work collaboratively with the client to achieve the overall program objectives within a performance management framework.

**What will you do**:
For the project management aspect of this position, you will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of projects, including participating in contract change negotiations, business plans, statement of work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/contract conditions. You will also act as a key customer contact for project activities, leading project and program review sessions with the client to discuss costs, schedule, and technical performance.

As a project manager, you will oversee project management specialists and other members of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) for project planning and execution, including the following areas of responsibility:

- Performance management in collaboration with project managers associated with various sections of the contract;
1. Initiate the project, including obtaining necessary client documentation and conducting the kickoff meeting;
2. Plan the project, including developing and submitting the proposed project plan;
3. Execute the project, including tracking progress and communicating results to stakeholders;
4. Manage risks and changes, including clarification steps with the client and preparation of change proposals; and

5. Close the project, including preparing retrospective analysis and lessons learned.
- Effectively communicate to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and ensure the project team operates effectively within the organization;
- Effectively manage client communications at the state level, scope changes, costs, and schedule;
- Represent L3Harris MAS during integrated teamMeetings with the client;
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in project management.

For the airworthiness management aspect of this position, you will ensure compliance with our processes and procedures for our accreditations from the Department of National Defence (Accredited Maintenance Organization, Accredited Material Support Organization, and Accredited Manufacturing Organization). The associated tasks include:

- Interpreting airworthiness standards and ensuring processes comply with the Technical Airworthiness Manual of the Department of National Defence;
- Ensuring airworthiness process manuals (maintenance, material support, and manufacturing) adhere to rules and standards;
- Ensuring procedures comply with approved airworthiness process manuals;
- Ensuring maintenance/manufacturing/airworthiness tasks are performed according to approved airworthiness process manuals;
- Authorizing personnel to perform relevant activities;
- Revoking personnel authorizations (in collaboration with the authority assignment person);
- Taking action on airworthiness-compromising issues;
- Monitoring skills and informing the Technical Airworthiness Authority (TAA) of gaps;
- Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with airworthiness process manuals;
- Formally designating an interim role in case of absence and informing the TAA of changes;
- Informing the TAA of procedural issues;
- Notifying the TAA of any changes impacting the scope of authority;
- Authorizing personnel to perform technical functions;
- Keeping stakeholders informed of issues;
- Ensuring external work complies with requirements;
- Additional responsibilities may include developing support arrangements, supervising quality, and delegating authority to personnel.

**Required Skills and Experiences**:

- Degree/qualification in appropriate engineering (aeronautical/space or mechanical) or related field;
- Professional accreditation in project management (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) required, or a master's degree in project management;
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience;
- Thorough knowledge of best practices in project management;
- Experience in the Canadian defense industry and in a performance-based contract environment;
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable standards and procedures (Technical Airworthiness Manual of the Department of National Defence);
- Ability to develop compliant procedures and manage airworthiness activities;
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in aerospace maintenance, including 2 years on aircraft;
- Skills in standards, procedures, management, and communication;
- Understanding of various roles and responsibilities of an Accredited Technical Organization (ATO), Accredited Maintenance Organization (AMO), Material Support Organization (MSO), and Accredited Manufacturing Organization (AMfgO);
