**LE SELECT** is currently hiring **FOOD EXPEDITORS **to join our team

**SCALE HOSPITALITY GROUP **is excited to announce the reopening of **LE SELECT ** Originally opened in 1977, **LE SELECT **is a historical & iconic French restaurant and boasts a wine spectator award of excellence wine cellar.

We are looking for energetic **FOOD EXPEDITORS** to liaise between the kitchen staff, front-of-house team, and the restaurant’s guests. The primary role of a **FOOD EXPEDITOR** is to direct a smooth and efficient workflow between the kitchen and the guests.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Acting as the primary contact between the front-of-the house and back-of-house staff
- Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
- Assist in the final garnishing of dishes
- Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature, ensuring order is complete before food goes out to the table
- Deliver orders to maintain fast service
- Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning as required
- Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)
- Support other tasks as needed

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 2+ years’ experience as food expeditor or other restaurant position
- High school diploma; Higher degree in hospitality, or relevant field, is an asset
- Excellent food knowledge and understanding of cooking terms/methods
- Skills to coordinate and organize processes and people
- Ability to lead and direct people
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Acute memory to remember small details to relay the right message and respond accordingly
- Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities
- A customer-oriented approach
- Ability to stay calm when handling a difficult situation / guest
- Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carrying heavy trays
- Great physical endurance and stamina to be in constant motion
