This position will be used to fill two vacancies.

A Little About You
**Your cover letter must demonstrate**:
A desire to continue a career as a construction contract administrator
**Your resume should show us**:
- Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or related from an accredited institution
- Registered or eligible to register with ASET designations; or, as P.Eng. with APEGA
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a construction administration/ project management/ construction role in transportation or municipal construction
- Experience inspecting work for conformance to the specification and design intent
- Experience monitoring contractor performance in transportation or municipal construction
- Experience leading and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of design and construction professionals
- Strong comfort and experience with construction contract administration, which includes preparation and or review of the following documents:
- Meeting minutes, and daily/ weekly reports
- Requests for information, submittal review, site instructions, time and materials, notice of proposed changes, change directives, change orders, non-conformance reports
- Progress quantity review, prepare progress payment recommendations, and project closeout documentation (substantial, construction and final completion certificates)
- Ability to understand and interpret construction contracts, specifications, engineering design, and the design intent
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experienced Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel user
- Established problem solving, mentorship and time management skills
- Experience with bid preparation, specification writing and cost estimation
**Bonus points for**:
- Experience/ working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software
- Experience preparing or reviewing traffic accommodation plans, detour plans, care of water plans, ECO plans and ESC plans
- Experience with City of Calgary and/or Alberta Transportation construction specifications
- B.Sc. CPM, CPESC or Can-CISEC designation
- Mentoring of junior staff
- Previous construction survey and/or materials testing experience
A Little More About the Role
This role is based in Calgary with potential for travel within Calgary and surrounding area. You will require and must maintain a valid Class 5 Alberta Operator’s License. A company vehicle will be provided.
Please note that extended working hours during the construction season are to be expected for this role. This can on occasion include, working / being available to junior staff on evenings, weekends, and holidays. With these increased hours you may have the option to bank overtime for time-off in winter months.
Our team is flexible with the start date but will endeavor to have the successful applicant start as soon as possible.
Our Contract Administrators leads the delivery of construction services on a diverse array of civil, transportation or municipal infrastructure projects.

- Participate in procurement process (e.g., constructability reviews of designs, review / preparation of bid documents, specifications, schedules of quantities, cost estimates)
