**Summer Parks Officer - (Public Education / Dog Bylaw Awareness)**
- Coastal Animal Services is hiring
- We're looking for a dedicated weekend Summer Park's Officer to proactively inform and educate park users about important dog leash bylaws, and regulations concerning dogs on beaches.
- The Summer Park’s Officer will engage with the public while promoting awareness and be a friendly face in helping to maintain a positive experience for all park visitors, human and canine alike
- This role focuses on educating park visitors on municipal dog leash bylaws and encouraging compliance for the benefit of our entire community.
- The park's Officer position provides essential bylaw enforcement experience for those looking to pursue a career in bylaw enforcement.
**Responsibilities**:
- Proactively engage with park users to provide information and education regarding municipal dog leash bylaws.
- Clearly communicate regulations pertaining to dogs on public beaches within park areas.
- Address questions and concerns from the public in a polite and informative manner.
- Promote responsible pet ownership practices within public park settings.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of local bylaws (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Prior experience in public education or customer service an asset.
**Term**:
- Each Saturday and Sunday from June through August 2025
