This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment, and requires a keen eye for security, excellent customer service, and staff management skills. The Security Operations Manager and K9 handler will be responsible for the development and management of a security team including security guards and K9’s. The security services are provided to Weidner’s rental apartment communities within Prince Albert. This position will manage all daily operations of the security team. Additional responsibilities include:

- Patrol apartment communities with K9. K9 partner and training will be provided.
- Supervise all security personnel.
- Hire, train, evaluate and initiate disciplinary actions as required for all personnel.
- Prepare weekly work schedules for Security Guards, including posting of schedules.
- Enforce and make recommendations regarding building security plans and schedules.
- Account for all staff hours, including sick/vacation, etc.; review payroll for submission to accounting.
- Review all daily Security Guard reports, incident reports and log entries; take necessary action; make follow-up reports to the Area Director.
- Assist team with garbage pick, graffiti removal where applicable
- Or other duties as assigned.

**Job Skills & Responsibilities**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the military, law enforcement or security industry.
- 2 of those years in a management capacity where you had similar roles and responsibilities as listed above.
- Must be skilled in developing and maintaining customer and employee relationships.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment.

**Required Competencies**
- He/she must be customer service oriented.
- He/she must make effective decisions in a timely manner under changing conditions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $70,000.00 per year
