Red Pheasant Prevention Services Facilitator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and resilient Facilitator to join our team. The Facilitator will be an active member of the Prevention Team, delivering activities that are directed at all community members.
The Prevention Worker/Facilitator will have special emphasis on including Cree cultural factors when designing programming within the community. The Prevention Facilitator will work closely with local knowledge keepers and elders, to organize and participate in culturally specific activities with families and youth. These experiences should be memorable, meaningful, and encompass Cree perspectives, values and practices that reconnect individuals and small groups with their culture.
Ability to speak Cree would be a definite asset, but not required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ability to self manage time and schedule, while reporting and communicating clearly with director
- Provide support to team members as needed
- Establish programming for all community members such as men's night, women's night, parental classes and youth focused nights.
- Assist with preparing materials and resources for events, both educational and cultural in nature.
- Supervise children and youth in conjunction with various events.
- Collaborate with team members to engage families and broader community with cultural events.
- Work in tandem with multiple departments to facilitate successful Prevention programming.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with youth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with children and youth
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Valid drivers license & means of transportation
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
